Plus tard, quand ma fille connaîtra son premier chagrin d’amour je lui expliquerais que contrairement à ce qu’elle pense, nous sommes des milliers de personnes à avoir été aussi malheureux qu’elle, à pleurer jusqu’à l’épuisement, tard le soir dans notre lit. Je lui dirais avec la sincérité la plus totale que ce ne sera probablement pas le dernier chagrin qu’elle connaitra, probablement pas le plus douloureux, mais que voilà, c’est ça la vie, si l’on accepte d’être heureux, de connaître l’amour il faut également accepter les conséquences qui vont avec. Je ne lui mentirais pas, je ne lui dirais pas que « ça va vite passer », parce que le temps qu’elle va prendre pour s’en remettre lui semblera être une éternité, mais je lui expliquerais que l’on apprend de ses erreurs, et que la souffrance endurcie, à chaque fois. Je lui dirais qu’il n’y a aucune honte à pleurer, à crier et à être en colère, mais qu’elle ne doit en aucun cas baisser les bras et croire que l’on ne s’en remet jamais. Je vais lui dire que malgré ce qu’elle croit, malgré qu’elle ait mal et qu’elle pense que l’amour n’est qu’une connerie, elle a tord, il faut juste du temps pour que le cœur cicatrise, et reparte de plus belle
